Motor feat. Douglas McCarthy

[top]

The new Album Man Made Machine from Motor is set to release on April 17th, 2012. Due out on CLR's new sub-label, CLRX, the album features guest appearances from Gary Numan, Martin L. Gore and Douglas J. McCarthy. The Knife's madcap electro frenzy, all harsh synths and rapid arpeggios - complete with singer Douglas McCarthy’s rather aggressive musings - is testament to the fact that, vocal re-focus or not, this fourth long form effort is by no means any less experimental, or more accessible. Watch the (unofficial) video of The Knife feat. Douglas McCarthy on youtube and get more information about the new album at release info site.

Life Is Sucking The Life Out Of Me - by Douglas J. McCarthy

[top]

Get the latest news about the new solo project by Douglas McCarthy! It was recorded in Los Angeles and Douglas will have the final mixes this month. Douglas managed to shoot a music video for the "Lead" track called "Hey" and shot it in Joshua Tree, the desert about 2 hours east of Los Angeles. It has quite a complicated post production but should be finished by the end of this month.

At this stage Douglas would really prefer to not involve a record company and simply release tracks online. Initially an exclusive on Beatport and then iTunes as well. Live shows are being sorted out, with a view to play north america 1st in a very limited way and then come over to europe for club shows and summer festivals.
